Revelation (Otkrivenje) is a Catholic pop group which has been existing and working for six years in a row. The group has been founded in the parish of John the evangelist and apostle (Utrina – Zagreb), within the Parish youth choir - Revelation. Since 2005, it has started working independently.

     The youth choir of St. John the evangelist and apostle was founded in 1969. when the Parish started with its work. That was the year when the first group of young singers was gathered which was contributing to the Sunday mass. Also, it was meeting weekly to prepare for the Sunday Eucharist. The choir had both its ups and downs, it took part at the Uskrs fest (Easter festival) in the mid 80's. The continuity of the group's work within the Parish was kept going till 1993. when the exchange of generations brought about the need for the reconstruction of this segment in the parish pastoral. Reverend Josip Golubić, became the new pastor at that time.

      To his initiative, Mr. Emilio Kutleša (the manager of Kefa, another spiritual band) took over the choir in 1994 in order to organize and lead the choir and stimulate young people to join the Parish choir. During the following five years, the group was formed and educated under the leadership of Mr. Kutleša, which would become the foundation of the newly built youth choir.

      Active work of Mr. Kutleša ended in 1999 when Adrian Vinković Rangel took over the leadership of the choir. He continued the work of Mr. Kutleša rebuilding and reshaping its identity. For the first time, the choir got its name – ‘Otkrivenje' (Revelation) after the New Testament book written by the patron saint of the Parish – St. John. The following years brought about the expansion of the repertoire of spiritual chansons and traditional church songs. Due to the other circumstances, two levels of the choir were shaped. The work of Zbor mladih Otkrivenje (the Youth choir Revelation) and the independent group Otkrivenje (Revelation) was intertwining in those years.

      At the end of 2004, Adrian Vinković Rangel stopped leading the choir, which was taken over by Petra Kokeza. Her peculiar leadership wasn't taking into account the perseverance of the existing identity and heritage of the choirs. She was building up a classical form of church singing thus changing the dimension of the choir itself. Therefore, the group Otkrivenje (Revelation) turned towards its independent work failing to get the support from the Parish of St. John the evangelist and apostle.

      The members of Otkrivenje have been nourishing the identity built during the past 10 years within the Parish youth choir (not existing any more). During those years a lot of songs came out and the choir started promoting itself on various festivals of spiritual music.

      Otkrivenje is led by Adrian Vinković Rangel. He is the author of most songs and the creator of the group's musical identity and expression. He is a permanent member of Kefa (another musical group). The members come from different parish communities.

      The goals of the choir are to celebrate God with song, to be active (individually or as a group) within the Parish pastoral and outside of it, to promote spiritual chanson as a form of evangelization and stimulation of young people who will be able to work efficiently in their parish communities and express and testify their faith.
